Your wardrobe might have all kinds of Sarees. Taking care of them must be a headache. We know how special every Saree in your wardrobe is and holds a lot of memories with you every time you wear it or even see it. So we thought to share some tips with you about the knowledge we have about taking care of these Original and Pure Saree. Show them some care and they will surely reflect their love for you when you wear them. Every Saree has special characteristic and there are different ways to take care of them. So here are the ways where you can preserve the quality of your Saree and show their beauty for ages to come.
    Cotton Saree:
Cotton Sarees are the most comfortable Saree worn and works best during summer. The Sarees are starched because the printing process becomes easier. It is necessary to wash it once before you wear the cotton Saree.
    Wash:
While washing the cotton Saree the color might bleed so it is advisable to wash each one of them separately to avoid any bleed over.
When you wash it for the first time, use cold water and add 2-3 spoons of salt. Soak the Saree in this liquid for about half an hour. This will remove excess color and starch.
Do not wring the cotton Saree, gently squeeze the water out.
Repeat the process with cold water and again squeeze out the excess water gently.
While putting it on the line, fold the saree in half and give it a good shake to do away with all the wrinkles on the Saree.
DRY IT OUTSIDE out of DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
Gently stretch the Saree from both the borders while it is on the line so that the there are less grains on the Saree while you are ironing it.
    Iron:
The best time to iron the Saree is while it is still damp. Fold the Saree in half and iron it along the length of it by setting the iron from medium to high.

    Silk Saree:
What would one do if there would not be the process of dry cleaning the Saree? The answer is to hand washing them with a little additional care. Silk Sarees have to be either hand washed or dry-cleaned. If you have planned to wash them home, there are few things that you have to consider while doing that to protect the softness and color of the Saree.
    Wash:
You need to check whether the color of the Saree are bleeding or not by washing every corner of it.
Do not wash it with the detergent during the first time.
Use detergents after you are done with 2-3 plain water washes.
Use mild detergent for a quick wash. But do not soak your Saree in the detergent.
Do not brush or lash the Silk Saree it will lead to tearing.
Do not bundle it and keep it wet for a long time.
    Iron:
While ironing use two pieces of cloth so that you don’t directly iron on the surface and do not steam iron or wet the fabric before ironing.
While ironing the Saree you have to take care about the temperature on which you iron your silk Saree.
If it’s too hot then you will have a meltdown.
    Store:
Remove it from the box or a plastic bag before 3 days.
The silk and zari Sarees should be wrapped in cotton or muslin cloth.
It is advisable to store them in dark and dry place to avoid the discoloration or fading.
The best way to store a silk Saree wrinkle and crease free is to hang it on a hanger.

    Zari Saree:
A very expensive heavy work on the Saree makes you look astonishingly stunning. At the same time they even need the extra care from you to preserve it beauty for a longer time. The silver and zari weaves on the Saree react to the atmosphere and sometimes lose the shine and give a dull look.
    Care:
Stitching a net behind the zari work of your Saree to avoid it getting pulled by the jewellery you wear. Wash each Saree separately in mild soap water and dry in shade immediately.
    Store:
Hang dry them once in a week in sun to keep clean and away from fungus for long. Unfolding the Saree after every three months increases the life of the Saree. Separately maintain the washed and unwashed Sarees. Do not wrap them immediately after use, let the sweat dry for sometime by hanging them in the line or hanger.
